Bike racks: Topeak or Ibera?
Looking to get a rear rack with the clip on trunks and bags. The two that are popular seems to be either Topeak or Ibera. Need help in deciding which ones to get?

I've seen Topeak in The LBS . Though they buy the ones with the convertible child seat that comes off
when Using just the rack .
Other than that, Being a Trek dealer , those racks they offer sell well ..
You could say which specific ones you saw.

I bought an Ibera with a trunk. Excellent quality. Howerver, it apparently only accepts Ibera panniers with the trunk mounted, so I cannot use either fo the three sets of panniers I already have with the new trunk and rack. oops ... I blew that one.
make sure about compatibility and such ... or make sure you like Ibera's pannier offerings---before making the choice. Blackburn also makes some good racks (as in, I own some and have beat them around so I know they last.)

However that was probably a mistake, as I then decided I liked the Topeak rack bag best of all(it overall has the largest volume of all the top of rack bags that I could find), but then couldn't use the clip on version of the Topeak and had to get the one with straps.
Having said all that, I'm about to swap out my Topeak rack bag for a large rear basket that I will then put my large backpack into as I commute.

I went with the Racktime Tour It recently. Multiple mounting points, 30kg load, easy to mount, solid light bracket, pump pegs and snap it compatible.. About $65 from Bike24

Both my wife and I have used Topeak racks and bags since 2005. The MTX bags with the drop-down panniers are great for daily riding, runs to the store, and credit card trips of a couple of days. The Explorer rack holds up to 55 lbs (25kg), which is enough for touring panniers and gear for multiweek trips.

I picked up an Axiom Journey rear rack and liked it enough that I picked up a second one for another bike. The horizontal tube at the bottom makes a stable backing for a pannier. It also allows bags with hooks and straps to be mounted a little further back, which is handy if you've got big feet or your bike doesn't have long chain stays.

Another vote for Racktime, and their Snapit system. I have an I-valo tour deluxe with built in tail light. The Snapit adapter can be purchased separately for use on anything one would want to mount on the rack.
