Hello from the Lost Sierra. My name is Geoff.
I saved my money and around 1971 I was able to buy my first decent 10 speed. A Gitane Tour de France. Graduated from high school in 1973 and moved to Squaw Valley. I was working in a ski shop and someone traded a Bob Jackson frame for a down vest. I traded some hours for the frame sold my Gitane to a friend and bought Shimano Dura Ace components and rode that bike until around 1980 when everyone went to mountain bikes. I rode a Specialized Stumpjumper for a long time. About 5 years ago I saw a Motobecone Grand Record on CL. That started a renewed interest in road bikes. I also live in a place without a lot of traffic. Since then I have collected more bikes. Italvega Zeus Olmo Trek Stella 1960 Schwinn Continental and some more. I would post pics but I don’t have enough posts. This is my 15th post but the moderators didn’t like them. Oh well.
