Though the pictures do little to help with evaluation, it would appear that you got a very fair price. I, also have a lovely 1976 Marinoni (not saying yours is 1976) that I have had for many years. Mine has the fleur de lis motif on most of the lug work and as a cut-out on the underside of the bottom bracket. This year it gets upgraded to full Campagnolo first generation Super Record with NISI tubulars...

As stated, the pictures do little in aidng with the asessment. Also, given the component mix and apparent era, there is a distinct possibility that this is not a full SL frame, which will affect the value. Check inside the bottom of the fork's steerer tube to see if there are five spiral splines. The first numeral in the serial number corresponds to the last digit of the year.

The fleur de lis motifs are cool. I did not know that they were still around in '84. Maybe that was an option. Is there a racing significance to the coloured stripes on the seat tube? I thought that that signified a World championship or something. I do not think that the Marinoni bikes painted as Raleighs in the Los Angeles Olympics count as a win for Marinoni.

You've had the bicycle for 5 months now, so I assume the latest pictures reflect it properly set up, in which case I'd suggest you sell it, as it it is far too big for you.
