vintage bike questions
I am looking to sell a vintage bike (Vitus 979) but have no idea the audience to approach. Created this profile to get some feedback on the best way to go about it.

Look for people that like old bikes. Vintage has become a marketing term.
Here's a thought:
Tell the truth. Advertise it for exactly what it is.
If someone likes those, they'll contact you.
The fan base for that actual bike is big enough, you'll be fine.
Trust the market and those who appreciate that model.
If you try to present it as something else, you stand a good chance of inhibiting sales to someone who may want it, but perceives you as a less than credible seller.

If I was looking for one, I would look on Ebay I have one. I really like it, but I felt like it was getting old, approaching its lifespan and I don't want to wear it out, so it is in semi-retirement. I would jump on a never used one and be cautious of a used one being too used.

OP,
After others chime in on where and how to go about selling your bike....Try to post your evaluation question here, you will get some idea of the pricing for a sale.
Good Luck
