Northeast For Trade Thread....NO MONEY EXCEPT FOR SHIPPING

Seems silly to not have one of these if we're all in the same area we may or may not have things to trade.

I'll start off:

Have: 3 boxes of Berry Powerbars
Want: Anything else - flavors, brands, don't care Got them for Christmas but were all the same flavor by accident.

I have:
42cm Salsa MotoAce Short And Shallow 26mm Handlebar. Black. I replaced it with a S&S 40cm. Great bar.
42cm Long and Deep 26mm road bar. Very light 6061 Black Aluminum. I'd give this to someone, actually.
Velo Black Leather Saddle. Barely used. No cutout. Nice looking. Will trade for another cheap saddle.
3 Bicycle Carrier. Fits most sedans. I have a station wagon now so I don't need it any longer.
Pilates Reformer machine. Great for a core workout.

Want:
Anything for reasonable trade. DVD's, books (History, Sci-Fi), PC Video Games all considered! I don't really need any bike items. Maybe a E3 Form Gel saddle would be fun.

MKS chrome toe clips, LL (extra large), exactly like these:
https://www.ebikestop.com/mks_toeclip...ome-TC6003.php.

Barely scuffed up. Bought a size or two too large.

Would trade for smaller M or L toe clips or handlebar tape. White, blue, yellow are preferred colors.

Anyone? Beuller? Beuller?

Have:

Pedro blowout bag. Nice bag, but I replaced it with a larger Ortlieb saddle bag to use for longer rides.

Want:

Any kind of top tube bag longer than 4" or so (I have a tiny one, but it's pretty useless for more than a phone and maybe a multitool.) Or perhaps a map holder. Try me if you have anything along these lines.

You could replace the bolt on with QR pretty easily if you can find an old school LBS (high performance ones not so much). One place I know that has them are on 6th Street between 1st Ave and Ave B (can't remember the name, pretty sure between 1st and A).

I rebuilt/stripped an old Trek 330 to convert into a commuter and have some components/parts left over:

Biopace 52/42 chainrings
Shimano Exage derailleur and misc. parts (SIS stem shifters, etc.)

I don't have the 6-speed wheel cassette available, but the above might be decent for a rebuild.

Wanted:
Saddle (avocet, bike take-off, anything in good shape)
Toe clips/straps if you have 'em in a closet somewhere.

I'm in Manhattan

Have: I recently bought my friend's 1982 trek 614 when he was leaving ny the city. I had it tuned, put a new chain, new freewheel and a new wheelset and rubber. Rides great and I'm totally hooked on commuting from brooklyn to manhattan, but unfortunately the 60cm frame is just too big for my 5'9/135 self. It's in good shape, but has some paint chips and rust. Shimano 600 brakes and decent components, probably very little original.

so I want:
Pretty much the same reynolds 531 bike, with decent components in fair-good shape with a 54/55cm frame. If you've outgrown this type of bike let me know. I'm happy to swap out wheels if you have something awesome you want to keep.

Located in brooklyn, happy to meet in brooklyn queens or manhattan.

I have a small but awesome collection of NEW Tee shirts for NYC rides - Tour de brooklyn, The first Tour de Queens from this year and some other Transportation Alternative tees that have never been worn, all size L or XL.

These are free for whoever wants them - just pay the shipping. I'll throw in some more nice NYC tees - NY Aquarium, Strand Bookstore, etc. Please PM if Interested.

If you'd prefer to pick them up in person, I work near the Flatiron Building. Just let me know.

ALL GONE, FOLKS! (Sept. 6, 2008)

^^ Thanks pgoat, wearing one now

I have a few 27" wheels and tires that I don't need anymore - one set Clyde tested and approved. I'd be willing to trade for boxes of Cliff Bars (Cliff shots, etc...) (pickup only, no peanut butter ).

- 2 fronts, both Clyde approved.
- 1 rear freewheel Clyde approved.
- 1 rear freewheel, 100 miles (CR18 rim/quando hub) but not a great build. Not Clyde approved but fine for someone lighter or if someone wants to retension/rebuild it.
- 1 (almost new) Gatorskin
- 1 (almost new) Paneracer
- 2 (medium to heavily) used Armadillos

The better wheelset for two boxes of Cliff bars, the other set for one box, good set of tires for another box, or each wheel for a box. I'll probably use the Armadillos to help the (future) listing on Craigslist if need be but if both wheelsets go I'll throw them in with the remaining set. Both rears can come with your choice of whatever lightly used free wheels I have laying around.

Have: 1 Pair, Dual-Pivot 105 Brakes ( last-generation BR-5500?), installed very briefly, never ridden.
Want: 44cm drop bar, 25.4 diameter. Short drop preferred, but I'm not that picky.
In Boston (Cambridge/Somerville), would be easier to just meet up and hand off.

Brand new Syntace aero bars w/ box, never used (well, I installed, rode around block and was beaten into submission by my huge belly - off they came!). Pls pm for pics.

I was gonna throw these up on ebay, but was looking for brifter or mtb/flat bar 9 spd shifter. I don't need the front der. shift but will take it. Prefer 105 -Ultegra-Dura Ace/XT-XTR

Some random stuff that I don't need:

Sakae Ovaltech 52/42 130mm BCD chainrings
700c wheels with 6 speed freewheel off late '80s Trek 400
brake levers, downtube shifters, and front derailler from same bike
Powergrips (2 brand new pairs)
Sugino Impel 150 42/34/24 crankset (rivetted rings, bought for project and never used)
Shimano BB-UN54 127mm (brand new, too long)
Ultegra 6600 front derailler braze-on (new, won't work with 52/42/30 triple, designed for 52/39/30)

I'd be interested in trading some combination of these things for:

Specialized Avatar saddle (new or lightly used)
46 tooth 110mm BCD chainring (new or lightly used)
good quality 26" knobby tires (new or lightly used)
new 7 speed cassette (preferably 11-28)
new 7/8 speed chain (SRAM preferably)

Have: '98 Schwinn Super Sport, 52 cm, in absolutely pristine condition. Details here: https://newjersey.craigslist.org/bik/888914933.html

Want: Comparable bike (in comparable condition), 58 cm. Or vintage steel in 60cm. Must have triple cranks. Other interesting offers considered.

Have:
I have 4 ultra gatorskins coming to me 700x25. Meant to order 23s.

Want:
1980s shimano 600 pedals with clips to match the rest of the equipment on my roadbike. Willing to talk other stuff.

Also have a 24" trek 531 bike with new chain and new wheelset. Anyone going to be touring this fall?

New Yorkers pm me if interested.

edit: I got a great internet price on the tires so I'm not expecting an arm's worth of gear for them.

CycleOps Fluid 2 Trainer

I used this twice, a total of 3.5 hours! It's new, in the box with all tags, manuals, skewer and even a training DVD that came with it. Indoor riding just didn't do it for me.
This trainer works great, it's very stable, feels pretty natural and was quiet. I'm around Great Neck (LI) and work in Times Square.

https://www.cycleops.com/p-309-fluid.aspx

Interested on:
- a very light road front wheel (>750grams?)
- Roof mounted bike rack (or parts of one. I have a VW Passat wagon, so the cross bars, or the tray would work)
- A pair of LOOK Keo Carbon pedals (if they're in good shape)

Thanks!
