That wasn't a qoute off the internet, but a way to make it stand out in a way that even Botto could understand it.

Did you actually read the entire post? or just highlight Paris Roubaix and make your normal humorous comments?
Do you agree that once in a breakaway isolated by your team, your team has very little to do tactically with you winning?
This was my point that the Tour Du Faso winners have won primarily on their own with little team support, as do many (not all) Paris Roubaix winners.

Ever heard of blocking? There's a lot that teams can do back in the peloton to keep their rider out in the break, especially on narrow, crappy roads. But you know that already, right?

yes I did, But then again it doesn't really work when the top 5 favorites are ALREADY in the break, and the only people being blocked are the team cars

This sounded like a government program, which I dislike. Its a mockery that China and other countries spend money and force people into sports at that they dont even enjoy, just for a medal.
This is different, they truly love cycling, more power to them. I wouldn't mind seeing them in the peloton in the near future.

I guess time will tell if a squad is willing to pick up one or both of these guys and put them on a developmental team.
Granted they are older than the average developmental project, but if they can climb like that at this stage of their rider development, who knows what they could turn into.
Heck, teach them to swim and they would own the Ironman

Ho-Hum, I guess I will humor you...
Paris Roubaix: A race for the strong/lucky and determined. Most winners are isolated from their teams after the first couple hours "little team tactics used once you are by yourself" (you already knew that), it is just them, the environment and their competitors (you already knew that).
Anything else you want to comment on?

Peloton Shelter Dog
Yet another reason to love Dr. Pete, my fellow Peloton Dog.
Woof.
You are not alone my brother. There is an army of Cat 4 Schmucks out here. We have racing licenses and we're not afraid to use them. Maybe we should be all things considered. But we're too stupid to stop racing. It's like a giant Velo Masochism Society.
