I'd name it "Cheap Trick" or "Rick" in honor of the guitar player of the band of the same name

Crossing the Oregon coast range on a 5 day tour this summer. Sorry for the quality, light was bad and it's from a cell phone. My Aurora is the one on the right.

A recent shot of my Thorn Nomad with its new wheels built by Peter J. White. 32 hole Velocity Cliffhanger rims wearing skinny little 50mm Schwalbe Marathon XRs.

Of course to see over 400 high quality images of bikes from around the globe, swing by the Loaded Touring Bike Photo Gallery, where I just finished updating it with some new submissions.

Cheers,

This is old pic of my Miyata 618GT touring/commuter ride. Spline Triple Butted CroMo frame, Shimano 8 spd with newer 105 derailleurs and downtube shifters , LX v-brakes and Dia Comp levers, Mavic MA 3 rims with Deore LX hubs Armidillo tires and Blackburn racks. I found a stem adapter that allows me use the newer 1 1/8 diameter stem. The front shelf rack is a work in progress. Since this picture I've changed to a XD 600 crank, Brooks saddle, a Blackburn Expedition 2 rear rack and differrent panniers.

recently picked up the new sutra, pretty tough little beast but also nimble and adgile,

Heard a few reports on the rear brazeon's but seeing as this is a cmmuter bike it wont be carrying much weight, great stopping power thanks to the avid disk brakes and a general pleasure to commute on

cant wait to get on tour,

hey craigdurkee

Im so jealous that you have the kona. Where'd you buy it? Brunswick St Cycle?
My LBS in brisbane says that 54cm is all gone in oz...which sucks for me. Would love to here how she rides. I would intend to use it for full on touring.

yeah that would be nice.

Im about 176cm (5'10") which i think suits a 56cm bike? Also need one for my fiance and shes about 160cm which would be a 49cm or 52 cm, depends. I think i heard that kona doesnt bring a Sutra in 49cm to oz.

This is how we traveled during the school year 2006-07. I did take a close up pic of the bikes at one time, but I have NO idea where they might be!

Just finished the TransAm two days ago in Yorktown on my Trek 1000. Started on September 15th and it was mighty cold.

More photos at https://picasaweb.google.com/tom.germano and my route is here

It's a Rohloff hub, 14 gears, lots of gear spread.

Really awesome.
