Big and Tall

Thanks for taking the time and reading this. I'm currently searching for an indoor bike that has a weight capacity to hold my husband who is 6'2'' and about 420 lbs. He's recently had hip surgery and is limited in activities at this time. I don't think I'll find a bike with these required specs but he wants to get his weight down at least into the 300 which is a totally doable short term goal. But either way my main question is trying to find a stationary bike that can hold roughly 420lbs.

Welcome to the forum. I'm not sure about ratings, but we had a Tunturi that certainly would have worked for that much weight.

People in this thread report some success with a bike on a trainer

The Wahoo add-on trainers do have a 250lb weight limit apparently due to stress on the attached bike..

Expensive option, but the Wahoo Kickr Bike does not appear to state a rider weight limit in the spec's, just 6'4" max height..
It's a complete one piece bike/trainer, as in, you do not place your bicycle on it.
Their support is awesome, give em a call.

I have one. It weighs 95lb and is built like a brick _ house.
Just watch the weight limit of any pedals you purchase for it.

I'm not aware of any indoor stationary bike that advertises a weight limit higher than 300lbs, but there are a few threads on ****** where people say that even though Peloton lists a weight limit at 305lbs, that 350lb+ is no problem. One person even said they called Peloton before buying to see what they thought about heavier riders using it, and their response was that it's fine. It might be worth a call to see what they say about 420lbs.
