Seatpost Diameter Giant Sedona
I'm fixing up a mid-90's Giant Sedona ATX, and of course the post is missing. Anyone know offhand what size it is? Looks pretty oversize to me.

Get an inexpensive caliper from the hardware store and measure it.

If the top of the seat tube is damaged in the slightest, it can be difficult to measure correctly. Sometimes the only way is to try a selection of posts, or a stepped gauge at a bike shop. If you have a bike co-op nearby, they'll have the tool and a bin full of posts to try.

I'll add that a sizing rod (the conical or stepped type) will gage only the very top part of the seat tube, the usual stepped rods only have a half inch (or so) of each diameter that is inserted in the ST. Many frames have issues deeper down the ST for these sizing rods to find/reach.
This is why trying actual seat posts that are much longer is always the best method of learning the best fit. Andy
