randyjawa New Website...
I want to build another website. My "Ten Speeds" was well received and I kick myself, to this day, for selling the site. Anyway...
I want to know what the best software to use. I want to be able to build my site off-line then upload it all at once. Then, of course, update as information (got lots) becomes available. Anyway, what to use for my website? Thanks and looking at Word Press as I used it years ago to build MY "Ten Speeds".
Thanks and any help would be much appreciated.

I don't know anything about building a website, but I wish you well in this endeavor. I learned a lot reading your stories about acquisition and restoration of old bikes. My wife might say I learned a little too much.

Agree with Neal, I use Wix to create and manage sites for community organizations as they pop up. Low effort, plenty of templates, components, tools & metrics. No need to go custom.

I just created a website for a project using weebly.com with no prior experience, and it turned out pretty well. It was pretty intuitive to use, so maybe consider using it if Wix isn't to your liking.

I would suggest wordpress for a domain and hosting. They have great tools, data and options. I've used them for 15 years now.

Love it. I know you didn’t ask, but I’d be happy to donate to the cause. My 10 Speeds got me started down the vintage path and provided hours of reading.

Well, I used Wordpress to build MY "TEN SPEEDS" and it seemed to be OK. I downloaded a copy of Wordpress software but have to figure out how to unzip it (I am not much of a computer guy but I have soooo many pictures of old bikes and experiences to share that I want to try again). I have decided to build the site and upload it when I have something to share. Not sure if is acceptable to use Bike Forums to share but will try to keep you informed.
I am also looking at what others have suggested and will keep an open mind before I jump. Now...
All I gotta do is convince Mrs. Me and the project will be good to go.

You’ll just have to update it to “My 22 Speeds”!
