1988 Centurion LeMans
picked this up at the local christian second store.
The seat post was stuck, but came out without too much issue.
it's a 57 c-t
Wheels are suntour cyclone sealed bearing hubs laced to galli rims
the six speed freewheel is of the shimano 600 sis variety (13-21)

I’m gonna say that’s not a 600 rear derailleur either.
EDIT: Oh…guess you’re just referring to the freewheel.

I had a yellow one
It was also an 88 and came with an Exage Sport groupset and a set of 36 spoke wheels with cool bronze colored Araya rims. It is really a sleeper frame - rides beautifully. Deserves better components IMO and with a 600 tri color group on it could easily be a daily rider. If you convert the freehub to hyperglide, then you can run 7 speed and use microshift shifters to have a really handy set up.

Several parts are not OEM, but they're definitely not downgrades.
If the larger tire size will fit under the fork crown, but the brake bits are too low, one thing I've done in the past is to switch to a centerpull brake.
Here's an example on my Lotus Classique:
MAFAC Competitions have more than enough reach for 33.33s. Tektro 539s had the reach, but "sag" below the fork crown, limiting tire width (height, actually).
I would imagine that most people wouldn't want to consider this solution, but if you really want a wider (and taller) tire, here's one way to squeeze it in.

I have one of those and adore it. I bought it for a Clunker Challenge for $35 one year and realized it has a far nicer ride than it has any right to. Stock parts would have been Exage Sport, so yours has been nicely upgraded. I wonder about the fork, though - mine has a Tange Mangalloy fork and stays, Tange no. 2 tubing elsewhere. I think mine will take 28s, but I doubt I could go bigger. I need to take some updated photos of mine someday ...
