Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Here I think Pivot is king bee for high zoot MTBs. Their resale values seem pretty good when you're shopping around

Only about 50 out of 180 started. Wow, that's a lot of amateur dopers, assuming they all DNS'ed because they were hot

https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/ant...jrBmOSfhYuXlIk

ETA: Hmmm, some accounts make it sound like riders DNSed, some sound like they bailed and DNFed once they heard dope control was in da house.

The reviews I've read about Fezzari mountain bikes have been positive. It was said that they could compete with higher priced bikes in terms of ride and handling.
I haven't ridden with anyone on a Fezzari mtb but I have seen their road bikes on road rides.

Santa Cruz and Orbea are definitely much higher priced than a comparable Fezzari. At least they were the last time I looked. I did hear the gap between direct to consumer and LBS bikes is closer than when dtc first became a thing.

I was lusting for an Ibis Ripmo when I bought my KHS but since my friend was a KHS dealer he gave me a super deal, about half of what the Ripmo would have cost me. Plus, the KHS has the geometry that fits me. It did come with some cheap parts, most notably the brakes. Bottom level Shimano brakes with smallish rotors. They're fine most of the time but not strong enough on steep descents.

I know how that goes. I really want a Time ADHX 45, but I found a Pinarello Grevil for about half as much. I think the cheap bastard in me is going to overrule the engineer, not that a Pinarello (or a Fezzari) is a BSO.

Not a lot to work with, though I didn't see any testimony of evidence that she actually pulled the trigger.

Shorten it to "Tante", and it can be the bikes your German Auntie rides.
