I use toothpaste to clean white bar tape and saddles, it's a great way to transfer money from the household budget to the bike budget.

Never been a fan of white bar tape - but I'll leave it on if the bike comes to me that way and it's rescuable.
'91 Basso Laguna
Made in the USA by carbon fiber pioneer Aegis.
2009 Trek 2.1
Newest bike I've ever had.
From the original owner, who bought it for the MS150 ride, then rode it just a few times after that before hanging it up.

I am not a big fan of white saddles or bar tape. But at some point I had to start using up the parts gathered...

@obuckler That Lygie is beautiful! Unusual detail on the fork crown. Is there a build thread with more photos? What is the saddle?

This thread has reconfirmed that white saddles and white bar tape make for THE most attractive Classic & Vintage Road Racing Bike.

No white tape on the Bianchi, but white hoods. Next time thinking of “braiding” white and red Fizik microtec. Anyone who owns one below knows what happens to the decals.

The saddle is some to me unnamed Specialized model…a takeoff…might have started life as a women’s model. Ruby? Don’t remember.
Fun bike to ride.
