It's been a while since I've taken my Roam for a spin, so we got out to see a little wild life today.

I took my '76 Motobecane out for a 26 miler on Saturday morning, but rode the Fuji Absolute as a trail bike behind the float from my wife's school in a local Christmas Parade of Lights. I chose to add some additional illumination on the bike and helmet over and above the rear blinking taillight. It was a good time!

First ride in 2020! Only rode 8 miles on the riverfront trail. The first 4 miles were against a 17 mile an hour head wind so the last 4 were at speed!

it was a couple days ago but i went to a dispensary in chicago for the first time. two-ish days ago. i of course rode my bike there. found this pink bike rack ...
sorry, no nature or cool urban architecture in my photo. but a damn cool bike. well not really. hydroformed aluminum isn't cool looking. but a damn nice riding bike.
see those fenders? think i installed those myself? **** no i didn't. Village Cycle Center went ahead and did it for me. because i bought a bike from them and they're nice people. never had fenders before. my pants are much cleaner these days. i bought a little kickstand for the bike too. because i don't have any sort of bike rack or hooks in my apartment. my road bike doesn't have a kickstand. that's fine. but two bikes without a kickstand? that's chaos.
i'm actually gonna buy a third taillight pretty soon. one that clicks onto the back of the rear fender.

Really nice Trek 750. I recently scored a Trek 970 that I plan to convert to a gravel bike. Nice job on that one.

My 2013 Fuji Absolute 2.1 took me to Denton,TX for breakfast tacos and beer with a friend of mine on his 2018 Absolute. Outbound was into a 20-25 headwind but the return leg was easy spinning!

Alzerbster really fortunate to have many rail trails around the Harrisburg PA area and just lots of areas that are within an hour or two to take the bikes to and ride. Not everyone is so lucky to have nice riding areas. With all that's going on right now were not sure will get to do are 35 mile ride at Jim Thorpe in late May but will just play it by ear.

Awfully cold in North Texas for April 4. 41 degrees F, north wind, and light drizzle. I ended up cutting it to a short 14 miles on my 2013 Fuji Absolute 2.1 trying to beat the heavy rain. Still better than social distancing on the couch. Nobody out riding or driving the roads.

Another ride today. Been doing the same 4-5mile route several days in a row. Decided to see how my bum left knee would hold up to a longer cruise. 7.5 miles. Most I've been able to do at one time in the TN rolling hills since my knee began whining almost 2 years ago.

Had a great ride earlier today on my 2020 Trek FX3 (longest ride to date on this bike). Did the "big triangle" and about 32 miles. Real nice ride!

I was contemplating doing a metric century, but since I had been off the bike for almost two weeks (bar a couple of short grocery runs) after an epic 90 miler, I decided to take it easy and did 40 miles instead. The 10 miles on loose/washboard gravel though were excruciating; the best part of that section was the rain, which got rid of the dust and cooled me off somewhat.

Rode my Trek FX2 hybrid 36 miles yesterday. Rode on Old Plank trail, on a little I&M channel, and on trails connecting to Old Plank Trail and a little on the road too. Around Frankfort and Joilet, IL area.

Rode 55km today and over 1000' in elevation. Stopped by one of the many canola fields that dot the rural landscape. It's the #1 cash crop for Alberta farmers. The best time to view these vast fields of golden blossoms is during the height of summer.
