Helmets with eyewear vents
Hi.
Do you have helmets that have vents / holes that are designed specifically to hold eyewear? If so, do you recommend yours?
If you're wondering what I'm taking about, see the attached image for a reference.
Thanks in advance for your help!
[Note to admins] This has nothing to do with safety.

Not too surprising, but Oakley helmets have them.

The vents in the picture of the helmet you've attached to your post are for ventilation. Yes, you can stick your glasses in there, but they are not designed specifically for holding glasses. You just need to find a helmet with vents located there, as nearly all are (maybe not aero helmets for time trials).
Saying that those helmet vents are designed for eyewear is like saying that a shirt with buttons is designed to hold eyeglasses because you can fold your glasses and stick one of the earpieces down the vee above the last button to hold your glasses.

I have a Smith Ignite helmet that holds my Oakley sunglasses. Smith actually markets this as a feature...

I have 2 helmets and both have vents that line up with the glasses I use. I flip the sunglasses upside down. The glasses have a relatively straight arm instead of the curved around the temple style of many cycling glasses.

That said, I am looking for a helmet with vents that are designed to hold eyewear. (Those helmets do exist.) My current one, the Specizlied Propero3, doesn't hold my sunglasses. I tried to stick them into the vents, but it just resulted in the arms hitting my head.

Not that I am aware of. Considering how varied the design is for eyewear, it would be impossible to design a helmet to be universally compatible with them all. Perhaps some brands that make both helmet and eyewear (like Oakley or Rudy Project) make theirs compatible with each other, but anything else is likely to be pure luck. Maybe if you post which model your glasses are, someone here might have a helmet that they fit into, but otherwise I would suggest bringing them into a shop and testing them on various helmets.

Temple width doesn't vary a lot, and a large number of sunglasses targeted for the cycling market have straight temples. If your helmet works with Oakleys (for example) it will probably work with quite a few other brands.

I wasn't aware that the vents of the particular helmet in the picture were general-purpose ones rather than specifically to hold eyewear. Thanks for the information.

My Scott Centric Plus works fairly well with Oakley and Tifosi glasses. I can feel the temples/arms against the top of my head, but it's not enough to be bothersome. My Ekoi Legende holds glasses really well.

Also, POC helmets(some? all?) have little rubber pads on a couple of vents and they exist specifically for holding glasses in place.

I bought an Oakley ARO3 recently to hold my sunglasses. They have a groove cutout at the sides of the vents for a snug fit.
My Bell Z20 has rubberized grips in the vents to hold sunglasses, but they don't work at all for my Flak 2.0s. They're better at holding the wider Radar EVs, but I forgot while using the Flaks and chipped my lenses looking down a few too many times for my liking.

I just tuck an arm of the sunglasses into my jersey/base below my neck -- old habit doing the same in street clothes while wearing a t-shirt. Am I doing it all wrong?

Met Trenta 3K..."Sunglasses Ports - Dedicated sunglasses ports with rubberized grips for securely stowing your shades when they aren't on your face". I'm fairly sure I've seen other helmets also indicate sunglasses docking as a feature of the design.

Reading through all the responses, it seems like there is a selection to pick from - Met, Abus, POC, Smith... That said, there will be others that hold glasses very well, but don't advertise it as a "feature".

I never knew this existed until a couple weeks ago, ironic that a post arrives soon after. We've probably spent way more time than necessary on the subject, but I thought I would toss in my two cents

I've always been a little jelly of those with helmets that hold their sunnies. None of mine have ever been compatible.
