DQRider, that's a really nice shade of green you got there.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Finally took the big bike out for a spin, weather was perfect! Off to the powerlines to start things off. I once ran into a small herd of cows & bulls down this way.
I like finding these horned seed pods, I think they're neat.
Then hit up my other dirt path. Yeah, the steerer needs cutting, I know .
And here's a bonus, my bike tipping over as i took the pic. That plant had pretty springy branches I guess.
All the critters were out, I saw 2 quails, a ground squirrel, about 7 cottontails, and a teeny baby centipede. Was such an awesome ride.

And it does sort of pop in photographs, right?
I really like your off-road pics. My mountain bike days were in the 1980s, at Mammoth and Big Bear, when John Tomac was tearing it up in the races out there. These days, due to motorcycle injuries, I don't ride singletrack or sand anymore. Gravel roads are about as radical as it gets for me now.

That is some beautiful country you ride through. Many times, in the midst of our brutal winters here, I have dreamed of living in an Airstream trailer, next to a gravel road somewhere out there. I suspect the reality of that situation would be less pleasant than I imagine...
Here is my contribution for today. The trail through Crosby Farm, across the Mississippi from Fort Snelling:

Well, thanks. It certainly took some getting used to, but the rest of the bike was so good that I bought it in the only color offered that year (2015).
And it does sort of pop in photographs, right?

Thermal Belt near Spindale, North Carolina.
Most of it is gravel and runs through the forest. This part is near the town.
I must admit that "Thermal Belt" sound like one of those weight loss devices they sell on late night infomercials.

Finally got a camera. Still working through the exposure and settings. Nice ride this morning to cruise around carrying the camera. Now just need a way to carry it on me rather than stopping and getting it out of the rack bag every time.

Keep 'em coming folks. I don't always comment on the pics, but I enjoy every one of them. My favorite thread. For some reason or another these pics transport me emotionally to where the rider is.

I remember when I got my first "real" digital camera. Just a little point & shoot, but I was so excited and taking pictures of everything. At first I made a little pouch to hang off the stem, then I carried it in a bar bag, and lately it goes into the seat bag or my pocket. Happy shooting!
