Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's in our dining room. We only use that room about 20 times per year, so not looking at it every day.

Fun Fact: The Pittsburgh Pirates have not won the NL Central since moving there in 1994.

We are in the middle of the Monarch migration, and they are everywhere. It's pretty neat.

Google images?

I was just contemplating migration yesterday, during my cycling activity, when I passed a large group of birds.

I took my semi-annual glance at the NFL standings and I see the NY Football Giants are 1-5. Gone are the glory days of Fran Tarkenton, Pete Gogalak and Tucker Fredrickson. Sad.

I wonder if Bah Humbug is grieving?

Nope. Took them myself. With my very own camera even, and not a cell phone camera. In my back yard nonetheless.

Today, Nature seems to be saying, "You thought that was rain earlier this week? That wasn't rain. THIS is rain." So, no outdoor ride for Mrs. Smith's baby boy.

I think this is what you'd call a driving rain, though I can't imagine anyone wanting to drive in it.

Yep. We are under deluge warnings. Started in the middle of last night and hasn't quit yet.

On the good (bad) side, I got my first trainer ride in. Also, I got an appointment for a Moderna booster tomorrow.

Not the most pleasant weather, low-40s, a bit windy and overcast, but I at least got in a long enough ride to burn off the French toast that I made this morning.
