The Sequoia was meant to be the ultimate sports-touring bike, vs. the Expedition, which is a full-on loaded tourer. Many years ago I remember reading a Grant Peterson description of the Sequoia as being the finest production sports-tourer ever built. I have a fillet-brazed, lugless Tim Neenan Lighthouse with essentially the same geometry as a Sequoia in my size, and it is an amazing bike. Should I ever stumble onto the right era Sequoia in my size when I have the loose change ...

So there are three Bauer frame makers? Australia, Canada and West Germany?

Some cool ones, Rob.

very interesting samples, here! your co-op (or rather their donor base) is quite unusual, I like seeing some of these rarely or never seen marques, for example that Quemener with what I think are Oscar Egg lugs (compare with Nervex or Prugnat lugs that Motobecane used in the '70s).
And would love to get my hands on a Billato-made Giordana but this 61cm is too big, and (sigh) just Cromor...

A rusty but solid front BG rack. I wish I had asked how it got here.

Today, a customer brought in a rear wheel from le ancien Peugeot. Helicomatic, but unfortunately with an emphasis on "hel". The bearings came out in small irregular chunks.

It will come home with me for eventual autopsy.

Oregon has a couple vacation resorts where people own a second home and clearly never ride their bicycles

$325 miyata nine twelve with Shimano 600

Looks like it was only ridden a couple times on the Nicest days

The Bernard badger seat still has the painted on logo. That usually falls off before it leaves the store

Aero

Even the hoods look soft and supple

Someone should "grab on" to that deal before it's gone.

Like a dumbass I went to my Co-op tonight looking for step down ferrules for Mr. Spadoni, and a couple of brake caliper nuts. I wound up working for two hours for a young fella who seems to be a future troubled youth, but not anything I can do about that. I did wind up bringing a few items home. Pics below:

I'm pretty sure that someone here in the forums must have seen the bike these were on, cause the tag sez: FORK BENT. But they are nice rod brake bars that will go to someone here that might need them.

This rather expensive bent rim on a wheel. I think the spokes from this rear hub are sought after by those who need them.

The rim is marked Ksyrium Elite. Spoke pattern is 20. 10 radial on drive side and single cross on off drive.
I think I am going to break this wheel down and check spoke lengths for those who are looking for them. Smiles, MH
