Trek 620 Frame (cheap), Touring Component group

Here’s some stuff that needs cleaned and is a bit rough. It’s cheap though. Shipping is $40 for the frame and $15 for the components. If you want both, $45 should cover both shipped together. Plans were to clean everything up, but I need some room.

Trek 620 Frame & Fork $100 $80 SOLD
Grimy and needs a clean. It is straight and I don’t see any dents though. Chain holder braze is bent. Biggest problem is the stuck seat post. Serial is 113624 which vintage-trek says 25 inch made in 1983. This is in the last block of 1983 serial numbers and this is a model year 1984 (cantis, different decals, etc). Components (see below) matched 84 specs except for the RD. The Huret was replaced for a Suntour.

Touring Component Group $75 $60
This came off the Trek 620. Shimano 600 triple (52/45/28) with 170 crank arms. BB is caked with grime. I won’t vouch for the condition of the races simply because I can’t see them. Assume the worst, but the crank spun ok before removal. (EDIT: BB is not bad, see pics below) Dia Compe 960 canti brakes and levers. Sachs Huret shifters and FD. Suntour ARX rear. MKS pedals look rough, but spin very nicely.

Both are good deals, GLWS. I'll bet that touring group won't last long. Heck I'm tempted as I have a 1984 Trek 610 I need to rebuild and sell. I'll just think about it so someone can jump ahead of me on this,

Took a quick look at the BB races and spindle after a first pass cleaning. These should clean up nicely. The grease is caked on there, but I don’t see any pitting.

Bump for lower prices. I think the Shimano 600 triple crank and BB are worth the price of component group. Yes, they need some cleaning...

Frame now $80
Components now $60

Trek calls this a 25" frame. I get around 25 3/8" CTT and just a bit under 25" CTC for the seat tube. I can get the top tube measurements later this morning.

The seat post will be an issue, but this would make a great rider for a tall guy. If I didn’t have a serious love affair with fat meats, I’d be all over this. Glws

Close to 63cm ctc. Max for me is 61.

Little bit of a caustic lye soak and that seatpost will be, as Scotty wisely said: "No tribble t'all."

That was the plan, but I just need some room now.

just the crankset?

Hello, if still available would you consider selling the crankset alone? Thanks.
