Open ended question - any diameter, any specs you want, only caveat is that it must have disc brakes.

Not sure if value has a lot to do with it, but the last mountain wheelset I built was of the 650b flavor, pewter King ISO hubs, black Sapim Laser Spokes and matching nipples, Sun Equalizer 27 rims. I was bored and wanted to try 650b on an existing bike, so maybe the value wasn't in getting another frame to build? Or that I already have other King hubs and tool/spares so familiarity might also have been of some value. Then recently I needed a single wheel, not a set and just a regular 26er so tried the Equalizer 27 again as well as the black Sapim Laser spokes and nipples but with a Hope Pro II hub for the convertability to use on two different forks (20mm and qr), so the dual use is the value there.

You don't indicate what riding these would be intended for but I'll take a chance it's not FR/DH. In light of that, I'd have to say the Syncros FL. If they perform at all as reliably and bulletproof as my FRs have, the value would be in the no-muss-no-fuss excellence.

The spendier option, of course, would be the FL Carbons.
