You can ride to the sign but it's tricky. You have to go through gates and places where cars can't go. The last part is steep and the pavement is really bad which makes descending slow. There can also be a lot of hikers. It's best if you go with someone who knows the way. When I did it we came in from the north and went back out to the north.
I recommend Franklin Canyon or Sunset Plaza which both take you up to Mulholland Drive.

He was in such a hurry to leave that he backed the cruiser into the telephone pole at the end of my driveway. The motor pool got a wrinkly vehicle with a missing tail light back that day.

Grandmombug died. Not sure exactly when, because I learned about it through the enclave vacation community the family is connected to sending a notice instead of directly. Because apparently my uncle informed them before us. Most of what I feel is anger over that, even though that probably makes em a bad person.

Still haven't learned directly, mind.

...the majority opinion on bicycle now, is that the only stuff getting stolen around here is either new, disc brake CF, or the big fave for thieves now, the battery electric bicycle. The up side of that is I can ride some of the bikes I used to be afraid to lock up over at Trader Joe's, or near a restaurant if I stopped for lunch, around town without much concern. If it's old, steel and has a level top tube, it has suddenly become a piece of junk that has no resale value.

If I needed the money, I guess I'd be discouraged. But I don't, so this has become a wonderful benefit of the e-bike revolution.

I've occasionally wondered what would have happened if, during the long and boring interlude between when the Not-Yet-Mrs. GeneJockey broke up with me and when she proposed to me 11 years later, I had married one of the other women I'd dated. Mrs. GJ and I had immediate chemistry when we met, which I never had with anyone else, even the girl I dated most seriously. Would I have ended up getting divorced from whoever?

Mrs. GJ and I joke that if we didn't end up together, we'd be making two other people miserable. Recently, I said this, and she laughed and said, "But we are!", meaning The Boys.
