Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Did some tester efforts into VO2 territory again and the body and mind responded favorably. The watts weren't what I wanted (relative to HR) on the final effort, but not awful eitehr.

I am now at a point where I can probably prevent my CTL and FTP from falling off a cliff. Building it back up on limited volume is going to be a challenge.... oh the joys of young children. Might need to use some PTO to get some mid week big rides in,

it's covered under theft coverage with your auto coverage. They're going to plotz when they get the estimate so they will start looking for ways out. When I got hit they offered me $500.00 for my bike. All 3 estimates for replacement were over 10k. But yeah obviously lock your door. They can buy a new window too

You just need one of those helmet can holders. Beer on the right through a straw, and candy corn on the left dispensed somehow into your mouth. Refuel while riding, and ideally never taking your hands off the bars.

I'm a big fan of Skittles on bike rides. Or gummy bears.

Honestly it's just fun to go ride a bike and eat candy.

Have to make sure it's broken from the outside so that there are glass particles inside in the nooks and crannies.

Well, but this is YOU we're talking about, so if the first 10 riders went down, they'd almost certainly take you out, too.

The bike is being moved between several properties in the same block according to my tracker.
Moral of the story: City of Phila is open for business (if your business is crime)

I told him that is ridiculous but unclear if there is much he can do about it short of going to the actual location of his bike which as we discussed is tempting but risky.

Sad.
He should just think about having it on the rooftop rack when he pulled into the garage. Leaving the car unlocked is the equal of that.

Agreed. My seat height hasn't changed in 40+ years though I'm a 1/2" shorter according to my doc. I measured my cycling inseam a month or so ago and it was exactly what it was in the early '80s.

A lot of history with that inseam.
