Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Time XPro pedals squeaking

I am using the XPro 10 pedals from Time. Nice but they squeak with the cleats. I have tried WD40 on the cleat and pedal contact points, also some Phil grease and bar soap. Nothing seems to work. Does anyone else have this issue?

Yes, I had that problem. Before the pandemic I was using the ancient but indestructible Shimano SPD-R pedals on my road bikes as I was always happy with them. When I finally wore out my last pair of SPD-R compatible shoes during the great supply shortage, XPROs were the best option I could get my hands on at a price I was happy with, so I spent about nine months on them. I had the squeaking problem and nothing I tried ever solved it. So I switched to Shimano SPD-SL pedals once those were back in stock and I'm back to being happy with my pedals.
