70's Bianchi Campione del Mondo???
Howdy- My neighbor was putting this bike out for solid waste collection when I snatched it up (hard to pass by a free cool-looking bike, even with only one wheel). Not too much of a bike expert myself, but through some internet scouring, I believe this is a 60s/early 70s Campione Del Mondo. I posted an album "Neighbor's Bianchi" with some photos in the gallery. This bike & its components have obviously seen better days, but I would greatly appreciate any and all input about the bike and/or what it might be worth. Thanks!

an excellent find - very nice cycle to be put out for "solid waste collection"!
the "Campione del Mondo" transfer may be a reference to a racing victory rather than a model name
manufacturers ofttimes do this following a race victory - they will affix a transfer referring to the race victory to all models for a period of time
your dating appears right on from here; estimate ~1968 time
note that the Campag Record chainset has the 151mm BCD
frame is likely to be eleven tube Columbus

The flaking paint on the downtube picture #4, in conjunction with what appears to bee a corresponding bend in the top tube says the bike was in a pretty serious front end collision. Chances are, all the useable parts on the bike might be worth less than $100.00 USD. Frame is toast, and I would assume that the original front wheel was damaged beyond repair in the accident. Good luck...

+1, this has major crash damage with bent top and down tubes. Provided there are no wrinkles in the underside of the tubes, this can be often be corrected by an experienced mechanic with frame alignment tools, though it typically is not cheap. Too bad, as it does appear to be one of the top models with a full Columbus frame. I can just make out the Columbus decal at the base of the seat tube. Given the frame size, it's likely Columbus SP.

I agree with the above. Lots to love in that pile of parts. Soak them in evaporust and they’ll be better than new!

i'm seeing way, way more than $100 in parts there.
a decent, cleaned up Record rear derailleur like that one sold for $200 on ebay last week.
shifters, $25-$50
large flange rear hub w/ skewer, i dunno, $75?
seatpost looks possibly Campagnolo, so $50-$100?
saddle, looks Brooks Pro, if usable, $75?
crankset, $150? good bottom bracket to go with it, add $50 or so.
other stuff
top tube cable clamps could have value depending on who made them
headset, depending on who made it
front derailleur, presuming it's Campagnolo Record
so it might be worth the time to strip it down and putting the parts on eBay (or getting a paid subscription and selling stuff here)

the frame may indeed be toast, but the fork it not.
Rennovators cannibalize those head lugs and headset parts and covet them, just not excited about outbidding other for them, but do, they are not being made any more.
The headset races inside are Campagnolo.
As to what to do? depends on your free time and capabilities.
There is a chance the bottom bracket is the 3/16" ball bearing type also... if the races and spindle are not pitted over $100 right there.
Left together much of it is a gamble, but I bet a strong $200 bet, maybe $250 as it SITS.
151 BCD bolt circle diameter crank set.
Campagnolo rear hub, seat post... Lots to mine there. This is a 1960's bike.
