This is a rebuild. I bought the frameset and built the bike up, not using original components.

Love the bike and DA 10 pitch drive train. I have a NOS 10 pitch crank but cannot find any rear sprockets.

Here is another "neo-retro" grass racer/track bike. I still have the bike and ride it frequently, though now it has fenders and a different bar.

I'd love to see more and hear more about what you know about the Marinoni.

I know for sure the Marinoni was made in 1979.
That year the U.S. team sponsored by AMF all rode Marinoni's decaled up in AMF colours.
The team consisted of the elite of N.American cycling.
Phinney, Bauer, Heiden, both Eric and Beth, Connie Carpenter, etc
The wheels in the bike have 36 flat spokes and were from the beginning of the aero dynamic era.
The frame is Columbus tear drop aero tubing. Campagnolo super record equipment and Bennotto handlebar tape
on Cinelli bars and stem.
This Marinoni has also been raced at speeds that at the time exceeded everyone else in the world, see photo.

Colnago. Good story too:
I used to live in Shanghai, a friend visiting Beijing saw a guy riding it around a suburb set up as city bike, he stopped the guy and ask where he got it. Apparently he was rummaging around in the trash behind a (closing down) Velodrome and found it... well my friend offered him a fair amount and bought it on the spot. A few months later I offered to buy the bike!
I love the patina, its all straight under there. just a bit of.. em... weathering...
Sorry I can post better pictures later.

On the thin line between C&V and modern -- My Waterford --- i bought it in '00 from Texas Racing Works (Brent Hydrick) --- its built up with a somewhat eclectic blend of parts but all are top of the range goodness
Headset is a Superbe, Cinelli Pinocchio stem and alloy Cinelli bars, --- bottom bracket is a Hatta i think, with a Sugino 75 crankset, -- Dura Ace track pedals and the ubiquitous Toshi double straps
ITs currently wearing a 4 spoke set of Corima's --- but wore a Sugino 75 Aluminum honeycomb disc for years with a Suzue disco front hub and 30mm rim -- tubulars all the way across naturally
2nd pic shows that its a lugged frameset ---
--------- My Silca Pista track pump == the Sugino 75 disc is in the background --- i thought this darn thing was dead but my local shopkeep sold me a simplet leather washer and it was back in business --- too cool ---
Arguably my flagship -- but i have much much less time on this thing than i do the Waterford and it is basically a wall hanger now due to current UCI regs (oh -- and my 44 year old lower back combined with numerous prior injuries too)
3Rensho Funny bike - please ignore that unfortunate looking seat post -- my position changed over the years and before i retired it, a zero offset jobby is what i needed --- but now, i have the appropriate forged Nitto seatpost in place
--- I've always enjoyed looking at that bad-ass Sugino 75 carbon chainset and aero crank arm
