Most people have the same on the front and the back, but the 23 front and 25 back is an well-accepted variation. It allows you to have a bit more volume in the tire that supports the most weight.

That makes a lot of sense. I know the bicycle will not come assembled, but I'm not sure if the tires will already be mounted (I highly doubt they will be). In the case they are not, I should probably just mount the Continental GPs and use whatever they send me as spares, agreed? Or do they not come with tires...?

I'm converting my hybrid to be more roadie like (going for comfort/touring), but first I'm going on a long (for me) ride this weekend and thought I could try out these energy chews if things start going pear-shaped.

Got the 120mm stem on my bike replaced for a Specialized Comp-Set Stem 90mm stem.
Fits really well now. No more having to lean forward so much

Some replacement cleats.
Black ones to replace the ultralight ones in my LOOK 595. One broke, so I will use the other as a back up for my TIME's cages since they are no longer made. These are 41 gram actual weight vs the 11 grams I was using before!!
Got the Omega Pharma Lotto one just for the heck of it to try out. I couldn't use Tacx bottles in my previous cages, but now I can despite their 81 gram weight and that they are not transparent (which I like)!
For times when I want to free up room in my jersey pockets. Not the same as the picture below in reality as I got the PRO brand/model, which weighted 51 grams.

Yep, these are porky for sure. My LOOK is right at 14.0 Lb without the PT carbon tubulars and 14.2 with them. these 82 grm are not going to throw me over the edge, but will allow me to have more flexibility in bottle choices. I may still get the New Ultimate anyway for it. The ones I had there originally, included the one I fixed, are still holding. These will go in once it breaks again. So much for my faith in it LOL............

I too purchased newer (slightly heavier) water bottle cages. I just could not stand how much I had to worry about my bottle popping out of the carbon cages. It got to the point where my water bottle was dictating my ride. (Fast downhills with any bumps were SCARY before) They may not be carbon, but they work pretty well and there really wasn't MUCH of a weight difference. Just a hug confidence difference.
