Dura Ace mavic gl330 tubular wheelset

I have held on to this wheelset for a long time waiting for the right moment to put it on a bike. But I am (attempting to) clean out and coming to the conclusion that I don't really have a need for it in the near future.

Mavic gl330 hard anodized tubular wheelset laced to Dura Ace 740x series hubs. The hubs are incredibly smooth and the rear is the hyperglide compatible version with the mushroom nuts for 130mm frame spacing. Front wheel is radially laced with bladed spokes.

Continental tubulars (old but usable I think, need to be reglued) and skewers are included. I will keep the cassette

$180 shippedcontinental US

Looks like the sold prices for 7 speed dura ace cassettes start at $60 on eBay and go up from there.

This wheel set would be like magic

Cassettes won’t be an issue as it’s HG compatible.

doesn’t the spacing matter? I thought dura ace 7s are not compatible with other shimano 7 s?

Maybe I should clarify the cassette issue. This wheelset is from the 8-speed era and will take an 8-10 speed hyperglide cassette. To illustrate this point in the pictures there is a 10 speed cassette on the wheels. To use 7-speed you would need an extra spacer.

My bad. You were clear about this in the original listing as you said it was compatible with 130 spacing and the picture shows a cassette with 10 cogs. I was thinking of the 7400 series which again was my mistake. So free bump up. Nice set of wheels.

As a side note, all Dura Ace series use the same cassette/freewheel spacing as other Shimano indexed components.
740X has a different cable pull for the shifters and derailleurs, but the spacing is the same.

This is a rare wheel set. The rear hub is both hyperglide and uniglide compatible - but the uniglide threading is not the smaller diameter threading that requires the proprietary and long-discontinued (unobtanium) first and second position sprockets. One is limited to a 12t sprocket, but it’s a small price to pay for the universality of the hub.
