Fenders and disc brakes
Tried to mount some SKS Longboards on my new Surly Disc Trucker. Problem is that the disc brake assembly gets in the way of the stays.There are spacers and a longer bolt provided, but the stays then have to be bent back inward and because of the added tension on one side of the wheel I couldn't get the fender to align properly. Any ideas?

Bending the stays around the Disc caliper, works, has been done,
as will using the mid fork braze on rather than the fork tip to attach the strut.
Putting on a front pannier rack, like Tubus, has a place to attach the mudguard strut to the rack,
and the rack to the fork tip.. ..

I put a 'Z' bend in the stay of a SKS P35 (?) fender on the disc side to route it around the caliper. Worked like a charm. No centering issues at all. You can kinda see it in the pic below.
