Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

yeah i believe that andro isn't aloud in the tour.. testosterone is in my opinion the most effective though. I have friends that take it for body building and they have put on 15-20 lbs of muscle in a month with no problem whatsoever. But i've always been scared to use it for cycling because it can mess up your heart if you take it in excess amounts.. however, many of the pros don't seem to be too concerned about their hearts lol

I took three yellow jackets before my first race. My stomach was going crazy the whole time. I felt like I was going to die with my heart beating out of my chest. But I won.... maybe I can go pro with this attitude.

If it wasn't for my back pain dope I sometimes wouldn't be able to ride at all. I guess that is performance enhancing!

Why would it be damaging to the heart for cyclists but not bodybuilders?

Actually, I read a study yesterday about Viagra being an athletic performance enhancer. The reason was because Viagra opens up the blood vessells and allows better blood flow. Better blood flow carries more oxygen to the muscles, therefore better performance.

The only thing I would be worried about would be getting a kiss from the podium girls while still in my bike shorts!

A few month ago, I was looking at cycling clothes on ebay, and someone was selling some bike shorts. In the picture, he was posing them with a huge hard on. It was funny and disgusting at the same time.

I believe that most Bike Forums members dope. At least 80%. There are posters who are a lot better, smarter, and funnier than me. The answer must be PEDs (Post Enhancing Drugs). These guys and gals could probably rip my fingers off normally, but if PEDs give you a 5% edge... at this level, who knows.

Bike Forums is a level playing field. It's just not the level playing field we think it is.

THC (marijuana) is a forbidden substance. Ullrich was caught with X, which is hardly a PED (except maybe in your mind sexually) which is also forbidden. OK, now how many of you will report yourselves as 100% clean from birth? And don't give me that Clintonesque "I didn't inhale".

Truth or dare!

About 20 years ago I had a severe reaction to penicillen. When I arrived at the hospital my heart rate was over 200 bpm. My feet and hands were so swollen my toes did not touch the floor and I could not bend my fingers. I was given a masssive dose of steroids. Within 2 hours my heart rate was normal, swelling gone. Over the next week I had to reduce the dose until I was not taking anything on the 8th day. During this time I could not sit still. I only slept 1 or 2 hours a day. It was unbelievable energy.
The biggest problem was the fact that I was recovering from a broken ankle and leg. Being on crutches with all this energy was not at all thrilling. However, I did find out why some idiots try to fool the world with incredible feats of athleticism.

Hmmm… not so sure about that. Imagine at the beginning of a time trial somebody told you that there was a big bag of Doritos at the end of the ride.

Think of how fast you would ride

I have tried Winstrol, Deca, Sustanon(testosterone), and Equipoise....a few years ago.

Equipoise(boldenone) is bay far the best of those listed...because you won't gain alot of weight or retain alot of water(as with testosterone and the others). A lot of bodybuilders like equipoise when they are in a cutting cycle and don't want that swollen blocky appearance. It makes your muscles hard and strong....but it also stimulates red blood cell production(big plus for cycling and endurance). I was flying while using equipoise..and it worked so fast. It increases nitrogen retention in the muscles and you recover quickly from your intense workouts. Appetite goes through the roof. It is given by I.M. injection a few times per week. You can buy it over the internet if you have a trustworthy source. It is a synthetic drug that the body perceives as testosterone. So the drawback is that the body dramatically decreases its own testosterone production. Equipoise can be stacked with a little testosterone to counteract this. Again...the major benefit of this drug is that it does increase your red blood cells over time..kinda like a mild EPO. Equipoise is manufactured as a veterinary drug. Like Deca...Equipoise can be picked up on a doping test...and it stays in your system for quite awhile. I'm not sure if there are any effective masking agents. I ordered mine over the net and never had any problems with shipping. It came right in my mailbox in a little package...hidden in a chocolate box. I was completely anonymous to my source. He only knew me by my email address...which is set up through hushmail(encrypted). Payment is made through Western Union....usually an internation transfer of funds(mexico for example) Once payment is received, the source requests a shipping address. 1-2 weeks later you get the packet. Some sources have web sites(with pics of inventory..and prices)...which makes shopping easier.

P.S...I never had any adverse side effects.

You asked, and I gave an honest answer. I am now 100% clean.

Howcome you decided to go clean? Just wondering b/c I would think it would be addicting if your performace improved so much with this drug. I might be completely off since i've never taken any illegal perfomance drugs so forgive me if i'm wrong.

I'm clean now....but the stuff really works. It's tempting to do it again, sure. But it's not addictive..like cocaine.

I once had a pacjage intercepted by customs(pack came from England). I got a letter saying that my contents were confiscated unless I could give proof of a prescription. I never did...and I never heard from customs again. I was out a few hundred bucks. 9 times out of 10 the pack will get through. I don't write any of this to encourage doping. I'm just being candid about it. Again...I'm not using it anymore.
