Been a while. Is there any bike rack discussion here?

It's been a while since I logged in to this forum but at the moment I have a question about Rockymounts vintage bike carrier.
Got ahold of 2 fork mount rooftop carrier for 20$
Id like to know if anyone knows about those or not, there is no part # or model printed on them and my research on those has been infructuous.

Are these stock or have they been modded at the front attachment point?

Yes I know my garage is a mess.

Hard to tell if that's a mod, or a 'factory' adapter. It's an old Rocky Mounts carrier, though. IIRC, Rocky Mounts were the first ones to build for OE / Universal roof rails, rather than Thule/Yakima, that were only compatible with their own brand's rails/bars. So that's likely a factory part.

If it's solid, i'd have no problems using it.

That certainly is an old one. Did it come with the hardware for the rear cross bar? You will also need at least a strap to hold the rear wheel in place.

I have no hardware for the rear hold down or wheel strap although I can't pay a Lil visit to rack ultra and get those parts locally for about the same price as online ( my Thule wheel strap fits in the T channel)
