Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seems to position the computer lower than the Bar Fly, might want.

I have a K-Edge. It looks great and holds the unit very securely.

My only concern about the K-Edge is that the locking tabs are aluminum, which is of course much harder than the plastic Garmin case and could wear some of the plastic away over time possibly causing issues with mounting in the K-Edge or other mounts. This one has the standard plastic mounting tabs which I would think might be preferable over the long haul.

I have two Bar Flys, both working fine, but the actual device mount does appear a bit fragile. If one were to break I would go either with the Garmin or K-Edge.

If this would have been available when I bought the Bar Fly I would have picked this instead.
The Bar Fly is great, just puts my 500 about 15mm higher than I'd like.

I wish it was available now!! I'd be purchasing today if that was the case.

It looks like they combined a K-edge with a bar fly.

Dude not all of us can afford a Garmin! LOL

Maybe I'll buy this mount and hope the GF gets the hint and buys me my Edge 500! LOL

I'm perfectly content with my 500 on the stem.

If this has the locking tab thingies the OEM mount has, I'll be picking one up... that's the only thing that I don't like about my bar fly mount right now.

I don't have my Garmin yet (in the mail), but what's wrong with just mounting onto the stem?

Nothing wrong with it, but I prefer the position in front of the stem for quickly glancing on the road and for keeping the unit out of the way of dripping sweat on the trainer.

The locking tabs are the one thing I don't like on the K-Edge. There were shavings on the tabs the first couple times I took my 500 off. The fit is inconsistent on different K-edges. Some loose...some tight. I think I'll be picking up one of the Garmin ones when they become available.

Can anyone tell if the Garmin Out Front is aluminum or plastic? I'd prefer to use a plastic mount on the carbon bars on my Roubaix.
