So we got a ton of rain overnight, then a modest nuisance snow. The problem is temps are now taking a nosedive and anything wet is going to freeze. My staff are all panicking about this. I told them best bet is stay put and let the townships salt the roads.

Yes. Actually, the STATE (PENN-DOT) takes care of the major roads but the minor roads are handled by the townships which are fairly small. So even though work is only 8 miles from home, I go through 3 different towns/townships for work.

Hey, I don’t want you to hear the burden and I don’t have all the answers, but we, as a society, are doing expensive, politically difficult, and inefficient things all over the place. This is, at least, an effective approach.
