I didn't even remember any conflict between LeMond and Merckx. I suppose they've gotten things worked out by now?
The early press on Lance is a reminder of just how good he was. Maybe it's a lesson on the perils of ending up in the Big League and all of its temptations when still young?
Also.. the Ed Pavelka's article on commuting was appreciated. Good to see the magazine cover the practical side of cycling.

I liked the reference to a $10,000 gold plated bike dream bike. Today that’ll get you a really good bike but not good plated.

The All-stars list is interesting. They're obviously highlighting teenagers, but how can a 17yo Hincapie make it, but not Andy Hampsten? The guy never got any love.
