1993 Italian Bianchi review translations
Hi all,
The activity in the Bianchi Serial Number thread motivated me to fire up the scanner, photoshop and some translation of a few reviews from my collection of La Bicicletta. I've just gone through 1993 and have just a couple more articles to post, but wanted to give a link here to some new and (possibly) interesting content.
I like to archive this stuff just to give evidence that can be used in dating bikes. For example, it seems that 1993 was a big year with the Reparto Corse reopening in its new digs (possibly what urged them to commercialize more RC models), logos being painted on, certain dropout usage, use of Oria tubing (probably not for the first time), Mavic Zap, Minimax, etc.
The best link to follow Bianchi-specific stuff would be https://rorymasini.blogspot.com/search/label/Bianchi and the articles posted so far are:
1. 1993 ads
2. Minimax Record
3. Caurus
4. Cromovan ZMS
I have another advertorial for the Reparto Corse and a review of the Cromovan Dura-Ace (likely later today). I teaser photo below...
Enjoy!
