How to stretch out your bibs

I purchased a new pair of bibs. They're pretty amazing but just a tad too tight. I wore them this Saturday on a ride from Brooklyn NY to Philly PA. After three hours I really begin to notice the pressure in my crotch. I am sure these will be great for shorter rides but was wondering if there is a technique to stretching out the bibs. I already plan on buying another pair a size up for these longer rides.

Thanks for the help

Unfortunately no. The synthetic materials (nylon, dacron, polypropylene, spandex) will not stretch or shrink any consequential amount.

It's tight around your crotch? Weird. If that's the case, I would size up right away. My bibs have stretched only were the silicone grippers are.

My bibs always feel a bit tight when standing up. But it's when you're flexed over the bars that counts.
The strap tension reduces quite a bit.

Same here. Not very comfortable standing. But great when riding. I'm also somewhat long-torsoed which doesn't help.

I have also found that the two pairs of Pearl Izumi's I have lengthened slightly in the top section over the few years I've had them. Not enough to count on it as a fit strategy though

The rubber threads break down over time, then the fabric is less Opaque..

I suspect you need to buy the next size up..

Don't ride for a month, then try to put them on. It'll stretch them...

Buy the right size in the first place and you won't have to "stretch" them.

Tuck the shoulder straps into the waistband and wear them like shorts. Shoulder straps are annoying even when they fit.
