Pilates for an hour every Tuesday. When I had my bike fit done, the recommendation was Pilates. My reaction was I want parts, not Pilates!....Now I do Pilates....go figure, Andy

I am continuing with all resistance exercises, swimming, walking. Yesterday I met a new - well, sort of - goal. I swam the 25 yard pool without taking a breath. Now, I know that some of you do this regularly (or not?) but it was a first for me. I am not sure if it has any significance - I doubt it, but I can check one more thing off the "bucket list."

I am working on chin ups - they are particularly hard for me, but I am noticing an improvement in the ease of doing them. As I am no lightweight, it takes a lot of effort!!

Did a 5K with my wife yesterday. Her fastest 5K. We have a couple of half marathons coming up towards the end of the month.

Besides a shortish ride on the rail trail just before dusk, Sunday's exercise included 2-1/2 hours of trail building a new hike/mtb trail at the county park.

Been a three year project so far, but we now have almost three miles of mtb trail just a couple of miles from my house - not something that many towns in Ohio can say.

Ran 5k this morning before work, in 30:49. Only 50 seconds from my goal of a 5k in less than 30 minutes (29:59 being less than 30)

Walked my warm-up 5K at 34:10 then a 5K Galloway 1min walk/3min jog at 30:13 then 2225 yards swimming. Temp was still 78F and humidity high but will be going down soon and so will the times.

4 mile run for me before work. I tend to have more time to run than biking during the week.

Stayed in a hotel in Weaverville, CA, and had free access to a local gym.

The woman running the place was this one:

and if you think she looks weird in that photo, know that she looks twice as weird in real life. Kind of like a plastic Barbie Doll that was cooked in the oven.

In any case, it was interesting to use "real" weight machines and compare them with my Bowflex experience. It showed me that the Bowflex is just as good, although the numbers aren't comparable. For example, 300 "pounds" on the Bowflex would correspond to about 100 pounds on a weight machine.

wow, Trombone Al...

oh, yeah. I ran 3 miles this morning before work in 31:35. the Strava app on my phone says it was 3.0, I had thought it was 3.1 (that is what my Cateye Strada computer said a couple of years ago when I mapped out the route for my run workout). My back doesnt feel too bad, but I can tell I am not yet back to par.
