Shimano FD Clamp Interchangability?

Shimano FD Clamp Interchangability?
Hello,
In the past (not so sure about now) Shimano made FDs that were braze on (direct mount). Along with these FDs they also made matching clamps for the various seat tube diameters. See photos below.
QUESTION: Are the clamps interchangeable between different FDs as long as the braze on / direct mount fits?
It appears that Shimano doesn't publish IPLs (Illustrated Pars Lists) for FDs assuming that they are not repairable, which they aren't. Therefore I have been unable to find and specific clamp part numbers to see if they work with more than one FD.
I can see arguments both ways. Interchangeability would reduce the number of unique parts that Shimano would have to make and inventory. On the other hand the dimensions of the clamp and FD would set the nominal chainline which may vary between different applications i.e. MTB vs road and double vs triple.
Can any of you that have direct experience shed any light on this question?

That clamp should work with most braze on front derailleurs of various brands. Occasionally the overhang is an issue, but can be opened up with a round file.
Otherwise, use some other clamp. They all function the same way to replace the standard braze on fitting, so they are not proprietary.

Yes, the braze on mount system is a universal standard, fitting all braze on mount FDs.
Likewise a clamped on "braze on".

Some of the newer FDs have newer part #s for the adapters. Number such as SM-AD67, 79, 90, 91..
Not sure if these are substantially different from the old ones. Some of the new versions are specified for FDs with the support screw, and also for Di2 use.
