Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I'm hoping today was the first step. He hasn't been sleeping well and he said riding today might help him sleep tonight.

He's been there for me before, checking on me when I've been dropped, telling the group to wait a minute, etc.

It was a beautiful day in So Cal for a bike ride today - sunny, blue skies, and pleasant temps. After my daughter's morning softball practice, instead of riding, I spent almost 4 hours in my garage cutting, drilling, gluing, and sanding plywood for a few projects. Garage door was open, music was turned up, and I had a really nice time.

My daughter and I are in the process of building out the woodworking shop part of our garage. It's an activity we both enjoy. She was away for the afternoon having fun with her best friend, so I hung out with my dogs, and played with my wood in the garage. Good times.

Ventured yesterday south I-75 to within 100 miles of NW Metro ATL, but remained safely within the TN border.
