Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The longest drive I ever hit was about 425 yards on a flat hole. I hit it out of bounds to the right into a street. A car hit the ball, ant it bounced back onto the course about 50 yards out. Ended up with a triple bogey.

I assume the road will be protected for liability purposes.

Felt fairly bleah on the trainer tonight. Tried a TT, only 5 miles, but I felt gassed after 3 and dropped out. It's entirely possible that 5 hours of sleep and a big burrito for lunch are NOT the keys to great performance.

EDIT: Yes, I rode more than 3 miles total.

She can have people do the things that need doing, like booking hotels and plane tickets and looking up dealership contacts. But yes, I doubt it's total.

Speaking of bike pictures, my winter project finally made it outside. Rides great, but need to dial the fit a little.

Regular Wednesday club ride is a washout. I am hoping it will dry out so I can sneak in a ride this afternoon. In the meantime, lots of domestic chores to do and/or procrastinate about.

I broke my ******g chain again this AM. It’s in the trash, my irritation is high.

This chain has broken at three different links. I’m not really sure wtf is up with it, hopefully it’s just the chain and not a bigger issue.

The biological father of my step-daughter died last night. Severe candida infection of the esophagus. By the time they finally were able to diagnose it, it was too late. I knew him, but not well. We were dopplegangers; people couldn't tell us apart. My wife was fond of saying she married the same man twice. Two deaths this week. Will there be a third?
