Claude Butler
I have just acquired a Claude Butler 'Curacao' road bike. It cost £10 and seems to complete, in not too bad condition but without wheels. Would it be worth spending a bit of money on wheels, cables , chain and possibly other bits not noticed yet. It has a steel frame and Shimano Acera gears and brakes. They all look serviceable. Allen

I hate to be such a pedantic enthusiast, but it's Claud. Not Claude.
I'd say your Claud is worthy of a set of wheels.
Perhaps grabbing another previously enjoyed bike and harvesting the parts you need would be the best option.
Pictures would help.We love pictures!
