Having problems mounting a battery

Currently fitting a Bionx onto a recumbent.

It is well suited. Having problems mounting it. The mounting brace is designed for mounting on a bicycle water bottle tube mount.

When I try to attach it to a rear rack it won't fit.

I think the best route is to simply replace the rear rack. What is the best rear rack that I can mount this thing to?

Maybe I'm seeing this incorrectly, but if the carrier is designed for the water bottle mounts, why not drill the rack and use through bolts to secure it?

If you look closely, I have drilled a hole through the rack. It is where it sits on the railing that makes it impossible.

Sorry, I knew there was something I missed. You might fasten a flat sheet to the "rails" and drill that, or look for a rack with a flat deck like the Old Man Mountain Divide Rack (expensive).
