2009 Fulcrum Racing 7 rear wheel - 11 speed compatible

I bought a used bike, a circa 2009 Look 566. It came with Fulcrum Racing 7 wheels that are original AFAIK. Bike has Ultegra 10-speed. Considering upgrading to 11-speed. Will the wheel accept and 11-speed cassette?
TIA

Doubtful. Shimano introduced 11 speed Dura Ace in 2010 followed by Ultegra the following year. Take a look behind the cassette. If the free hub is 11 speed compatible there will be 2 spacers there, 1.85 and 1 mm thick. If there is only a 1 mm spacer the only 11 speed cassette that will fit is the largest 11-34 tooth count cassette.

Thanks, I will check that out.

SRAM 10 speed cassettes, if I understand correctly , do not have that 1 mm spacer.

I would think there's a good chance you can replace the freehub with an 11-speed compatible one, but I don't know enough about the history of the Racing 7. Worth checking out, though.

I did check and there was only a 1 mm spacer. This will help me figuring out what i can reasonably upgrade.
Thanks!

Did not think of that one. I will look into that!
