10 speed Ultegra 6706 on a 7sp Exage freehub weirdly fits
Hey,
so i got an Ultegra CS 6706 10 sp cassette (11-28) to put on my Exage 7sp hub, with the intention of removing one cog and use it as a 9sp. Weirdly though, when i put the entire 10 sprocets on the freehub body, I was able to tigthen down the lockring no problem. I did not use the spacer at the back of the cassette though. This is just the hub, not built up in a wheel yet.
Am I missing something, or will I run into some other issues down the line with shifting?

Yep, that’s gonna be the problem: spoke interference.
