Yikes!! That doesn't even sound like a creak, that sounds like a "crackle"!!!
Glad to hear they got it taken care of for you!
This crap really shouldn't be that volatile. It's the 21st freakin' century for cryin' outloud!

FSA crank is still junk! My beloved less than two month old 2015 Caad 10 3 spent the night at the shop last night getting new crank bearings. But the guys also said it was the worst one they've ever had so I've got that going for me. New one was as smooth as butta on my short and freezing cold test ride. Looking forward to warmer days once again!

General motors makes this argument hugely invalid.......Their new 2015 colorado had a recall BEFORE it hit dealer floors (well only 30-40 of them had been sold.....). They have so much faith in their new truck that they are trickling it into the market so if something does go ka-boom it wont be a big recall
At least shops are not playing off the bb creak as something foreign to them and they won't cover it because it is "something the owner must have done"

We've just built this in the shop, we have out own brand (cero) and the 45's look great on the Caad 10. Very tempted to put some on my bike when the weather improves.

I feel like my CAAD is slight too big, I too used the CC fit calc... Oh well, it works it just doesn't look pro.

I like to think of the 3 frame size rule.....as in you know what size you need amd you can go +/- 1 in either direction and still be ok.
Seat post only really matters when it comes to mounting stuff on it.

I'm looking at a used 07 caad 8. Looking back at the catalog I noticed that they had a caad 8 and caad 9 that year. Doesn't anyone know if they are different frames in the sense that the current caad 8 and caad 10 are or was it basically a difference in components? I can't see the geo chart so not sure if everything is the same

Hi, I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for some advice. I bought my first road bike in 2013. I didn't really know anything going into the bike store. I've been running for many years now and wanted to get into triathlons so I knew I had to get a decent bike. I didn't realize how much I'd enjoy riding! So I bought a CAAD 8 2300. I ended up riding a little over a 1000 miles this summer, and love it. But now that I've have learned so much more about bikes I feel like I'm a bit limited by what I've got. I'd like to go faster, be more efficient in power transfer. I love the CAAD, but now I've been looking at the CAAD 10 105. I'm just wondering how much of a difference I'm going to see if I upgraded and in what ways. I have done a lot of reading and understand the differences in the specs, but I was hoping for some real world experience. Thanks for any advice.

And where are you getting the rest. Best deal on frame I've seen new is around $500 but that's with shop race team insider deal, on ebay it's hard to find a CAAD frameset for less than $500 used. Best I've seen for new Di2 is around $1150.
But none of that really matters, the main questions I guess is everything going to be new if you build the bike? Is your build going to be better than the stock CAAD 10 black? Are you using better wheels, different components that you like more than what comes stock? All things being equal if it costs the same I'd much rather get the complete from an LBS with full warranty and shop support
