Yup - a glorious day!
27 miles today.
65 degrees when I left.
And I'm still slow.

5/6 5/7 off bike between the weather and my daughters pending graduation, and all the awards she is receiving (father just bragging!!), haven't had a chance the last few days to ride. So today got in 40 miles in 1hour 59 minutes and 34 seconds.

15 mile commute was all. It was a nice one though.

Rode in the Metopark on the Valley Parkway today. Rode at 1:30 PM and I felt guilty because I was not at work. Gotta get used to this semi-retirement with Monday's and Friday's off. Followed my coach's workout and stayed in Z2 heart rate range the whole 37 miles except for 5 "out of the saddle jumps with 30 seconds at 28 mph" and averaged 20.4. Looking forward to tomorrow's Master's 45+ racce at RATL.

add another 20 miles to the above post. Me and the mrs. rode to Oberlin for an after dinner cookie at Gibson's. Managed to do it without getting rained on too!

45 minutes on the trainer, then 21 miles @ 24.4 mph ave. Riding in a race with 45- 50 Master's 35+ and 45+ age groups combined will tend to raise the average mph of a ride. Burning three matches on the last lap left nothing for my sprint, so I just rode in like most of the guys in the field field of a pro race.

See post above, but here is the rest, did 67 miles, rode home with wife so her and daughter could go shopping, grabbed some lunch and launched back out into the wind for 33 more miles to complete my century!! Tempurature dropped 8 degrees from the wind which shifted wnw towards the end of the ride. Local airport reported gust of 37-40-41. Time for a nap!

I took one for the team. By going to 3 day weeks the agency I work for saves $44,500 in wages and benefits. The fact that I retried with a pension plus continue to get 3/5th of my salary is kinda of a good thing. Well, a great thing, I work three days (with flexibility of scheduling) and have a net take home pay of about 26% more than before I retired. Even better, I have more time to get my yardwork and house cleaning chores done which enables me to ride more.

61 miles out of Cross Plains, Wisconsin, with aham23 scouting the Double or Nothing roads.
It drizzled, it was a bit windy, we invaded part of the Alpe Bl'Huez TT course (but skipped the final kick to the top), and generally rocked it up and down the hills.
Then had coffee at Uphill Grind.
A pretty good day.

Did I see you riding out of Busse Woods near Alexian Hospital Friday around 3:00? I was headed towards there, and at first it didn't register when somebody kind of familiar looking passed me that it might have been you. By the time I got turned around and started trying to catch up, it was too late (I was on my fixed gear and couldn't quite get going fast enough to close the gap).
