I downloaded a bunch of racing vids from YouTube. Various race segments. I don't really care what's going on, just some footage to watch on mute along with my playlists.

I watched the M40+/M50+ race while covering the phones over lunch. Thank you. I will definitely watch the rest of them on trainer workouts as I can't get cyclingtorrents to work.

possibly the best idea in the history of ever.
You'll make millions. Do we get some sort of bonus from riding, other than getting faster in real life? Can we buy lighter bikes and more aero wheels with our "TSS"? Perhaps when you do training rides you gain money that you can use to buy domestiques to draft off of and lighter bikes to climb easier, and more aero bikes for the time trials.
It's brilliant.

just saw RX flash by in the P1 race... unless there were a bunch of other classy-looking, thoughtful, soulful individuals in a JPB kit.

just to prove that I am an idea man, here's what popped into my head just now.
bypass racermate by creating an ANT+ compatible receiver that works with all three major PM makers.
hire some ubergeeks to design a net-based MMORPG system
create a series of "rooms" like the "crit room" "hill race room" "velodrome" "long distance hammer room" etc
make a way for people to post their schedules and then choose ideal times for race start and finish.
have offshoot rooms for non-competition group riding
also have a social network associated with it so the people can maintain contacts and develop new ones.
the w/kg standard would have to apply, so people can cheat on the weight, but I don't know how to get around that.

Great idea. This could be a game console appliance for the Wii, PS3 or XBox, any one that has Internet access.

yeah but unless the physical device has a scale built in to it (and even if it does), you can still lie about your weight.
