I wash my bike shorts and use Surgeon's scrub to wash my crotch.
saddle sores are bacterial in nature, infected hair follicles,
Bacteria is always present on your skin.. just reduce the population a bit..

I sanitize my keyboard and my computer before and after posting on Bikeforums. I don't want to get contaminated by other cyclists viruses and germs.

I hope this doesn't open a can of worms, but I refuse to get my bikes vaccinated. Also, fresh worms are better than canned.

Here in the Boulder area, we wipe our bikes down with yogurt cultures, and kombucha.

After I got gonorrhea from a tractor seat I started sanitizing my bike seat out of an abundance of caution.

I've been pulled into those full inspection lines going through customs with my bicycle several times. After the first experience, I ensure my bicycle is squeaky clean so that when they start checking tyres and everything the only thing they can say is, "I've never seen a bicycle so clean!"

I run my bikes through the dishwasher after every ride. It's a tight squeeze for the tandem.
But I don't want to wear out my expensive biking shorts by washing them, so I don't.

WTF??? As long as there are no racing stripes on the chamois, all else is good. Although my gloves do get to stinking. I usually blow my bike off with the air compressor weekly and wipe it with non-disinfectant wipes after rainy rides.

guess I'm in the minority, but when my rubber grips get slippery I'll wash them with soap and water (maybe once or twice a month depending on conditions). Just where my hands go

Not only do I not sanitize my bike but I don't even necessarily wash it...even when riding through a herd of cows

I don't find riding through cow poop that weird, but photographing it?
I'm guessing you don't keep that bike in your living room.

When I lived in the NW burbs of Chicago, the place was infested with geese (aka rats-with-wings) crapping all over every flat surface, including the bike path in Busse Woods. My solution was to put full fenders on both mtn bikes to limit the goose crap splatter.
