Colorado Riding Photos
The Rockies, and Crested Butte specifically, provide for a breathtaking (literally and figuratively) place to ride. I can never get enough of the place.

I was there last month but only got a few short rides in. It was beautiful!

My father in law is in Grand Junction. Great riding in his area, too. As a sea level human, I never acclimate enough to do the longer rides or bigger climbs.

I was there a couple of weeks ago to celebrate the 45th anniversary of this ride. I'm fourth from the left, red hat.

Alpine loop Lake City to Animas forks via Cinnamon pass , then back to Lake City via Engineer pass is on my bike bucket list.
As for Crested Butte area ride back poverty Gulch then hike up to the old mine. (Augusta mine)
I did see a bear last summer at the waterfalls though. I was playing on the waterfalls one day previously. Made me think twice about bears. He beelined it up the ridge in the direction of mt Baldy and was covering serious ground. Bears are fast! Glad I was behind him. Haha

I love Crested Butte among many other places in Colorado.
Alpine loop Lake City to Animas forks via Cinnamon pass , then back to Lake City via Engineer pass is on my bike bucket list.
As for Crested Butte area ride back poverty Gulch then hike up to the old mine. (Augusta mine)

I live 4 miles away from the Big Thompson Canyon that goes from Loveland to Estes Park. If I detour at Drake and go up to Glen Haven, it adds about 500 feet of climbing and 1.5 miles of 9-12% climbing, but peak elevation is only about 8000 feet. The loop is 52 miles from my house, with 3400 feet of climbing, with all but 500 feet in the first 22 miles. I ride M-W-F, weather permitting. Usually over 50 times per year.
