Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Don't even try that. Keeping your bike clean and being worried about getting it dirty are two very different things.

Haha my bike was filthy after I rode it on Tuesday, so I cleaned it, and it didn't get dirty on yesterdays ride. I don't mind it getting dirty, I just clean it after every couple rides.

I was a little nervous about the red Keo's, but I like the way they look on it. Plus, the grip cleats are SO much easier to walk in. Thanks!

Im not worried about getting it dirty, i just dont want to spend time cleaning it so often. If it starts pouring rain and i have to ride through mud and puddles for two hours i couldn't care less, but if i can avoid dirt so i can avoid wasting time cleaning the bike i will. And so i walked the gravel. Wanna fight about it?

Your bike can go a few days dirty. Don't worry, you will still look cute with that backpack on, even with a dirty bike.

I honestly don't see how you can complain about a fixed gear bike that is dirty. It takes a few minutes to spray it down and wipe, and keep the chain clean. Try cleaning a road bike that has been through mud.

No it doesn't. I take the chain and wheels off and clean it thoroughly. And my bike IS dirty, you just dont see it from the pictures. If you like playing in the mud good for you, this is not a mountain bike its a road bike, and i keep it on the road.
