Raleigh Roadster Rod Brakes
How plentiful are Raleigh Rod Brake parts? I'm about to pick up a late 70's (huge guess) roadster and it's missing the mounting brackets for the rear brake. Will I ever have a complete bike or should I say screw it and roll the front brake only?

look for theoldbicycletrader if Neal doesn't have what you need. I was able to find new brake blocks from that source for what I considered a reasonable cost.

I bought a '78 DL-1 a few years back over in DC. I was able to order parts online for it. With a little tweaking they all fit. Menotomy Vintage Bikes (oldroads.com) used to sell the parts. I believe they still have some brakes in stock.
Yellow Jersey bike shop also has some roadster brake parts, though they can be a bit pricey.
They also come up on ebay often.
Depending on where you are, there is a shop in Bowie, MD called "A+M Cycles" that specializes in older bicycles, so they may have some 3 Speed stuff in stock too. They do not have an online store though.
I would start by sending a PM to Neal, since he has a lot of this stuff around. What you can't get from him you might be able to get from the net (search for the shops I mentioned above for more info).
